Pray, sit you down, my merry friends. And listen to our tale!
Nor Cal Renaissance Faire: Check!
Last weekend we went to the ren faire out by Hollister. Turns out its very, very hot out there...at least 100 degrees when were there! We don't do well in the heat, T and C especially; T got a heat induced migraine and C was just cranky. But up until that point it really was great fun! B dressed up in her fairy dress (thanks again Gramma & Grampa!) and got lots of attention from everyone, so when we say she was the cutest fairy at the faire we are being completely honest and objective.

de jokes about J being a horse and asked for a ride next. There was so much to see: stalls and stands, people dressed up, people doing shows (acrobatics, singing and dancing, puppets, etc.). B played a game where she pulled a string and won a prize (a hacky sack, which C loves). She also painted a ceramic star, which may just find its way onto the Christmas tree this year. T made friends with some stall owners as she photographed a bunch of the wares for a photography assignment. We came home with a wreath of dried flowers (which T and B took turns wearing at the faire...the man assured us it could last B through twelve ren faires) and a fairy bell (which B love love loves...best $1 we ever spent).
If it wasn't so hot, we definitely would have stayed longer. J really wanted some mead, and we were all looking forward to having a meal there. As it was we only had a frozen treat, which was so very nummy. It would be worth going back just to have another! If we go next year, we'll definitely plan to go on a cooler day or later in the day so that T doesn't have to cry all the way home and then lock herself in a dark room for the rest of the day.
