School days begin.

B and C started school for the first time ever. Preschool started this week at Stella Piccolo in San Mateo. They go twice a week, and so far so good. It was harder on mama and daddy the first day, actually. Their teacher, Miss Leanne, is very good at keeping us informed of how they are adjusting; and from what we've been told both kids have been a little aloof so far, which is what we expected. They are like their mama that way, they like to stand back and take stock of their new environment before jumping in. The first day C tried refusing to pull his pants up on his own after going potty (a problem we've been experiencing at home because he would rather be naked, so he tries to act like its impossible for him to pull them up or down), but the teachers casually told him that if he took too long that he would be losing time outside on the playground. The second day Miss Leanne reported that he completed the task much more quickly, so he's catching on. She also told T that he made a couple of little buddies, other car aficionados no doubt. B is taking more time to warm up, and is pushing limits (resulting in a time out, which she very stubbornly remained in until T came to pick her up). She is feisty, and inquisitive. Apparently that adds up to keeping the teachers quite busy, according to Nana, who assures us that T was quite similar at that age.
