This past weekend was a super busy one for these Fischies. Not only did we officially started packing for the move, but we also celebrated both St. Patrick's Day and T's 30th birthday.
On Saturday we got decked out in our greenest and headed to the 160th Annual St. Patrick's Day parade and festival in the city. This is our second time going the the event put on by the surprisingly large and active Irish community in San Francisco. C's favorite part is the parade, with the cool old cars and all the firemen and police men. This year the firemen handed out old fashioned toy trucks, making C a very happy boy. B and T both really enjoyed the traditional Irish dancers, of all ages, from a local dance school. B says she wants to take lessons, which she will be old enough for in about a year. T is very excited about B's interest in Irish dancing and its one of those times that we are so grateful to be living in the bay area with the wealth of culture and opportunity.

On Sunday T joined J in the third decade of life. We celebrated by heading to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, it was the the kids' first time there. We ate dessert for breakfast at the roof top cafe. The kids played hide and seek in the outdoor area with all the sculptures. They did really well at the museum, but had a melt down when we went out to lunch after, but that might have been asking too much from them. For a 3.5 year old and a 2 year old, they did impressively well at an art museum, and we're proud of them. Our friend, Mr. Eric, came over in the evening so that we could go out for dinner (Pizza My Heart) and see a movie (Unknown).

It was a lovely, busy weekend. And this coming weekend will be busy...probably not so lovely...as we're moving; so we'll be very grateful for a do nothing weekend as soon as we can get it!
