Pumpkins, Chili & Football

Sounds like a traditional American autumn to us! Last week we carved our pumpkins while watching the Oregon football team stomp UCLA. T also made her first batch of vegetarian chili, which J calls "rich man's chili, because it has layers." T had her doubts about anything living up to the boilermaker chili she loves, but this was suprisingly hearty (and healthy) with shitake mushrooms and zucchini. T's thinking of using eggplant next time. J carved both the kids' pumpkins and then ran out of steam. T was waiting to take pictures until all the pumpkins were done, but by the time J did his the others had started to rot. So you'll just have to picture them in your minds: B's was a very scary jack-o-lantern, C's was Ernie, T did the Cheshire Cat and J's is a monster.

Yelling at the TV...she's a football fan!
