June Recap

B's birthday, another trip to Oregon, B's first ballet recital, and Father's Day hoopla.

B's birthday and the party deserve their own post, so more on that later. We made our second trip to Oregon in two months; this time to celebrate our beautiful, smart, amazing niece Hayley's high school graduation. Happily the weekend also coincided with the dance showcase of one of our other beautiful smart, talented nieces, Julia. It was a wonderful, family filled weekend.

This year B and C were really into planning a surprise Father's Day outing for J. We took him to four mystery locations for a fun filled day: a hike, tide pools, berry picking, and then dinner at the Half Moon Bay Brewery.

At the end of her first year at the Menlo Park Academy of Dance, B had her first dance recital. She preformed a dance to "Puff the Magic Dragon" with her class on stage in front of quite a large audience. And she LOVED it! She absolutely lit up on stage and told us after that she loved being up there. She is definitely more excited about going to her weekly ballet class, a bit more strenuous than other classes she's been in, now that she knows there's a glorious moment in the spotlight at the end of it.
