T: Do you mean a cookie?
B: Something small.
T: Are you asking for a cookie?
B: (shrugs) It could be anything...
T: Are you asking me if you can have a cookie?
B: If you think so. It could be a cookie. Okay I guess.

You should really keep some sort of journal of all the adorable things your kids say. I'm doing that with the stuff my students say. They crack me up!
